There are places I’d rather not go back to because a sour experience has stained them. Those places that were once beautiful have been tarnished by circumstances which have ruined the filter with which I saw them.
We see through the lenses of our feelings, and I’ve had plenty of beautiful places turn into ugly and regrettably unforgettable memories. I can’t change them, but I can go back and create new ones.
I have to head back to a spot that I’m repelled by. The only picture I took on that trip speaks for itself. Maybe, it was a premonition of an ending. Yet, I have to go back and face it. I will, and as with other spots, I will build a different stage and make it a place I can go back to by changing the feelings tied to it.
We can’t change what happened, but we can change the way we perceive places by facing them once more using different filters.
Change the filter to create a new vision.
