My longest drive

Today I went on my longest and furthest drive. I rarely do things for my self, it’s always easier to do them for others. This drive was not for me either. I did it for “my” kids because I had to be there with them and for them. I was scared and would have rather stayed home avoiding the drive, but I couldn’t let them down.

There are many other “drives” I’m going on lately, which involve facing all those fears I’ve been carrying around, but I’m learning to buckle up and press the gas to see where it takes me even if I do it for someone else. The side effect is my gain too.

So, if you feel you cannot do something for yourself, try doing it for others, it may be easier this way.
