I, like everyone else, have good and not so good moments. When all is well, I agree with most facts of life and believe many quotes the masters tried to teach us. However, we seem to vanish them when things don’t go our way and focus on the negative when this is when we should remember, and find relief and solace in those quotes that could help us in moments of grief and deep sorrow, to get us through the day.
My favorite ones which help me to rise instead of falling:
Who will tell whether one happy moment of love or the joy of breathing or walking on a bright morning and smelling the fresh air, is not worth all the suffering and effort which life implies. ~Erich Fromm
There are some defeats more triumphant than victories. ~Michel de Montaigne
It is a common experience that a problem difficult at night is resolved in the morning after the committee of sleep has worked on it. ~John Steinbeck
Adversity is the first path to truth.Adversity has the effect of eliciting talents which, in prosperous circumstances, would have lain dormant.~Lord Byron

The course of true anything never does run smooth. ~Samuel Butler
If we will be quiet and ready enough, we shall find compensation in every disappointment. ~Henry David Thoreau
