My Dear fifteen-year-old,

Fifteen is like the rite of passage, it is fun and exhausting at the same time. A time of discovery not only of new experiences but of your own feelings. A time of confusion and relative anxiety in a time when you believe you should know where you are headed. You actually don’t have to know. You are simply trying out the waters and dipping your feet.

My dear fifteen-year-old. You don’t have to worry too much about the future now. Do your best now at school, have fun and enjoy wasting time, playing, and simply managing as best you can your emotions. Talk it all out. We might be old, but we’ve been there, done that and we might know a thing or two. We are not from another galaxy, just a few steps ahead.

Life is always a bit complicated but if you take it in stride and learn early on that chilling may be the best thing to practice now, so that in the future you are calm enough to be able to make your own decisions without panicking.Relax and take advantage of this carefree time.

And remember, you are not alone, ever.
