People think that suicide is a sign of weakness; it is not. It’s a sign of deep unbearable pain. Some say: “ It couldn’t be that bad, his life seemed perfect,” but to him it wasn’t. People commit little suicides everyday; overdrinking, driving recklessly, overdosing on drugs, food, or any substance to get away from their present circumstances, unaware that they too are playing a role in their own self-destruction.
There is a choice, always, to live or to die, to try to improve your circumstances or not, to ask for help or not.
Pain cannot be measured. One’s sorrow can be another’s last straw to end his life.
Live Through This and Talking about suicide are sites that may help us all figure out some warning signs to save others before it’s too late or ourselves, because sometimes you can only “ save yourself. “
