We seek perfect everlasting happiness although we know well that it doesn’t exist.
Movies that depict happily ever after endings are cut short, luckily, or we’d find that the story that unfolds is not what we are made believe. Reality, as they say, bites.
As my sister gets ready to wed, I feel I can only wish her imperfect happiness because we are imperfect and so are all relationships. If we are able to be considerably happy, we are winners!
As long as the weight is heavier on the happy side, that is the best we can do in this crazy, fast and difficult world we live in.
So, I won’t wish any of you meaningless “happily ever after lives.” I wish you a happy imperfect life, which is more attainable and realistic.
