Because carrying a bottle or tube of makeup is just not so convenient. Plus, because when you are in a rush or want to spend a weekend away, you don’t want to drag around a lot of moisturizer to prep your skin either. Those are the weekends or workdays when you want your makeup to not only last but are able to have it handy to apply a quick soft touch up.
And here we have it! Problem solved! Esteē Lauder has just launched what many of us needed and were waiting for! A cream makeup compact that won’t dry, cake and will last all day! Plus, handy enough to carry along in your bag! Double Wear Makeup To go.
I am loving these types of formulas. Compacts that are easy to carry and save my face, my day, a weekend outing or long plane ride. A problem I’ve found is that most compacts are either too dry, too thick and come in few colors to match my skin tone. Double Wear Makeup To go comes in 20 tones! You are sure to find yours. I found mine in beige.
Personally I wear light makeup even when I hike or go to the pool. Few may agree with me but in my own experience my face doesn’t get sunburnt even if my makeup has no SPF. Maybe it’s just me, but any makeup does keep my face a bit more protected. (I have no scientific evidence, just my experience, so you may not want to forgo SPF under makeup yourself!) I love to be able to carry a compact with me to the pool or on daylong hikes and Double Wear Makeup To go fits perfectly in my bag or backpack.
What I like, as I mentioned above, is its portability, range of colors and the light touch and silky perfect coverage. Ageless makeup that makes your skin really glow. This is enhanced by how perfectly hydrating it is.
Try it and let me know what you think!

OOH! I’m quite intrigued with this product; I’ve been looking to try out the Double Wear liquid foundation but now that THIS is on the table, I can’t help but wonder which would essentially be a better option?
In addition, this compact reminds me of the BB cushion compacts that Korean companies such as Laneige have come out with; one of the biggest issues I have with that format would be how unhygienic it would be for one to keep dipping the same sponge…onto another sponge to get the foundation out.
The germaphobe in me is slightly recoiling as I type this thought out.
With this in mind, have you had (similar) hygienic issues with the packaging?

Actually, It didn’t cross my mind! Since the sponge is for my own use and I also exchange them when they are a few weeks old. Another great option is a makeup brush which is easy to clean.
I have never had any problems though with this type of product.

I’m waiting with bated breath until it hits the Lauder counters…:D
