Why We All Grow With Storytellers: A Message of Empowerment.

Disclosure: I am traveling to We All Grow Summit on an all expenses paid trip sponsored by Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant, as a storyteller bestie. All opinions are my own.

I recently lost one of my best friends to cancer. He was an amazing storyteller who literally saved my life a long time ago, by telling me stories. They were stories of inspiration, strength and hope. I just went through his handwritten letters to me, which were my lifeline during a very bleak stage of my life, a couple of decades back.

It wasn’t until I sat in a room of broken people who, like my friend, shared their life stories that I was able to climb out of a personal rock bottom and grow. While therapy has its advantages, there are certain things you can only learn and grow from when they come from other people willing to tell their stories of pain, struggle, and victory.

There is so much to learn from storytellers, no matter where you find them, whether in everyday life, at a self-help group or onstage: compassion, hope, love, friendship, loss, pain, happiness, starting over and so much more. That’s how I learn, by listening to those people, who may not be all that perfect but who are perfect in their own imperfection, leading the way to help others see the light at the end of the tunnel, when we’ve lost hope.

Most of my life I’ve found comfort in the written word, whether by reading someone else’s work or writing myself. It’s cathartic. That’s why I’m so over-the-moon excited that I was invited to attend the We All Grow Summit sponsored by Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant, with my bestie Lorraine C. Ladish, who is also my older sister. She, along with other storytellers sponsored by Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant will be sharing their stories of hope, life and endurance at We All Grow Summit. I can’t wait to hear them all and I’m certain that they will all impact my life.

And I’m glad it’s with Dove! Why? They know the power of “real people sharing real stories.” They are reaching out and changing lives. Not only by sponsoring We All Grow Summit but by empowering women though their commercials. Their message is loud and clear: “embrace the woman you are. You are perfect!” That’s why I’m proud to join their effort. Also, I’m a longtime user of Dove soap, since my dermatologist recommended it years ago because of my skin allergies. Dove soap cleanses and softens my skin like no other product. Its scent is so clean that I often skip the perfume.

Now Dove has launched Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant, which provides 48-hour wetness and odor protection. As a fashion and beauty blogger, I tested the product I’m happy to report that once more Dove has created a great product which is fresh, clean and will help us bloggers feel even fresher and ready to go at the We All Grow Summit. And if I leave it behind when I travel I know I will be able to find it easily as it’s sold at mass food and drug retailers nationwide.

Dove sponsoring HOPE!

Well, we all have a story, and I would love to know yours!
